  1. Actually, I’d be surprised if I found VCs paying money for this dotcom. But, i do think they’re addressing a “pain-point”. They are definitely people who would benefit from this and who would use this. My gripe about this is that it is poorly named. “SaveMyAss” sounds a lot like something a bunch of boozed-up frat boys came up with. If they were to name themselves something which suggests a concierge or a butler, it will come across better. CEO and exec-level people will definitely benefit from this service, but they won’t take a “SaveMyAss” seriously. At first glance, anyway. Prasad

  2. That is the sad part. He’s got terrific credentials but he’s still thinking like a frat boy. He might as well have named his company MenGoneWild or something like that. Please tell me you agree with me. :-)Prasad

  3. The name is quite bizarre, but then you never know. They have started other sites before like evite, and another dating site. So you never know. Couple of years from now these blokes might be on Nasdaq while you and I will still be here blogging away! 🙂

  4. Girls Gone Wild is a brilliant name from a marketing standpoint. Obviously I’m not going to expose our strategy here, but suffice it to say there is a reason for everything.also for the record, I have never been the member of a frat, unless Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu count.James

  5. Hi, James no offense! I am sure you have your reasons. Good luck with your venture. Coming to think of it, Girls gone wild is pretty neat. Prasad, Go for it man! You might have just for your sweet spot (or whatever spot! 🙂

  6. Pran, The name GirlsGoneWild has already been used. You, with all your late night MTV watching, should know that. Sadly, even my evil rapper twin (who goes by SnoopDogg) has already profited from his association with this company. James, No offense intended. I’m sure that you have a reason behind the name SaveMyAss. As i said in my earlier posting, I think there’s definitely value that you’re providing to the customer. There’s also a fairly decent sized market for it. There are a lot of busy professionals who would use this service. To my mind, however, it seems like the name would turn off a lot of people who would otherwise think of using a concierge service or an online flower delivery service. As for the frat boy comment, I was just commenting on what the name sounded like. I have a lot of respect for your abilities and what you have already accomplished. All the best in your venture. Pran, what can i say? After a failed startup, I’m just back to being a working stiff and drawing a regular paycheck. Can’t knock that one either these days. :-)Prasad

  7. Dude, Prasad, I am just leading a paying-my-mortgage-normal-life. I am not in the loop for hot happenings (barring savemyass, of course:-) in the valley these days. At least you are wiser and moved on after your startup exp. Good for you man!
