Sounds like President Musharraf has decided to clean up Pak cricket on a war footing. The move to have paid selectors might not be a bad step. It will be a good test for its viability in the sub-continent.

Paying the board and the selection committee is all well and good. The key thing is how they will be evaluated, who will evaluate them, and will they held accountable? Otherwise it is just a question of making official payments to them. Will they float the company and allow people to buy shares in PCB? That is the ultimate governance test, isn’t it? I think it is a necessary step but the devil is in the details to ensure the step is in the right direction. Prasad

The iron hand of Mr. Mush can push thru such reforms. I don’t see a democratic setup being able to execute on such things.
